Ernie is an energetic hands-on leader who actively oversees almost every agency account in one capacity or another. He is personally well informed about each client’s brand and category.
Ernie’s first success at Furman Roth came early, with the introduction of Krazy Glue and the famous “Hanging Man” to TV audiences, which quickly turned it into a household name. Another notable branding accomplishment was helping lead the Nutri-System Weight-Loss centers to unprecedented growth. He also directed the creative effort that rocketed Mapquest.com to the #1 most-used travel internet site and evolved the B&H Photo brand from a mail-order and professional photographer business to “New York’s Ultimate Camera Store.”
Some of his other success stories include Lee Myles Transmission Centers, Gold’s Horseradish, Stew Leonard’s, Innovation Luggage, Marty’s Shoes and Cohen’s Fashion Optical.
Prior to Furman Roth, Ernie served as an account manager at Grey Advertising, on various Procter & Gamble accounts. He has been a judge for the Clio awards, the NYMRAD “Big Apple” awards, the Addy’s and the Mercury Radio awards. He is a frequent lecturer at industry functions covering topics such as Effective Retail Advertising and The Power of Radio among others.
An ex-jock, Ernie is also on the advisory board of the Yorkville Youth Athletic Association. On the weekends, his passion for advertising shifts to a competitive spirit for coaching his son's and daughter’s basketball teams.
